CPT Daniel Eggers served as a detachment commander in the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) in the US Army. He was killed in action in Afghanistan during his second tour of duty. A base in Afghanistan was renamed Camp Eggers in CPT Eggers honor.
The American Fallen Soldiers Project luncheon and portrait presentation to his family was held February 11, 2016 at the Harborside Event Center in Ft. Myers. FL.
