Power 2 Change Foundation

These awesome people contacted me in February to see how they could help with care packages to deployed military. After learning what goes in a box, they decided to order enough supplies to make 100 boxes!! These boxes have been sent to military in war zones. Items such as travel size toiletries, protein bars, beef jerky, a bear and a crazy pillowcase. These aren’t enough words in the English language to say thank you to all of you. Blessings to each of you.

Oak Ridge Middle School

The Oak Ridge Middle School student council did a donation drive in the spring to collect items for care packages. We met after school at Ms. St John’s room and put together 50 boxes! AND I took numerous boxes of items to the storage locker until more boxes were obtained. The school provided enough for 100 boxes!! Thank you so much for your selfless giving of time and items to our deployed military!

Parkside Elementary School

Parkside Elementary School student council asked Thomas Gemmer if they could do a donation drive to help fill the care package boxes for deployed military. These amazing children gave above and beyond what was decided to give. The class that gives the most gets its own bear. Two years in a row these children have given selflessly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

CPT Daniel Eggers served as a detachment commander in the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) in the US Army.  He was killed in action in Afghanistan during his second tour of duty.  A base in Afghanistan was renamed Camp Eggers in CPT Eggers honor.

The American Fallen Soldiers Project luncheon and portrait presentation to his family was held February 11, 2016 at the Harborside Event Center in Ft. Myers. FL.  Thank you Eggers family for your long history of military service.  Our prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.  Teddy Bears for the Troops presented Daniels' mother with a remembrance bear.
